Laken Therapy Dog

Laken displays one of the best temperaments we could ask for in a therapy dog. Only two years old, she is exceptionally gentle, loving, and intuitive. Laken belongs to Beth and joins us at the funeral home a few days each week—and she is always present during visitations, unless a family prefers otherwise.

Originally bred near the Muskoka region of Canada, Laken brings a warm and calming presence to everyone she meets. She has an incredible ability to sense when someone needs comfort, often approaching quietly to say hello before moving on to the next person who may need her gentle reassurance.

Laken recently welcomed a little brother, Bo—who happens to be her biological brother as well—and together they bring even more joy to our team. For families walking through difficult moments, Laken is often a comforting reminder of kindness, connection, and unconditional support.

In the picture Laken is on the right and Bo on the left.
